2. Categories of data & retention

• Strictly necessary security logs & consent storage (Art. 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): Server request logs and localStorage key defreese_cookie_consent_v1 to record your cookie decision.
• Contact form enquiries — service response (Art. 6(1)(b) & (f) UK GDPR): Name, email, optional phone, and message processed solely to answer your enquiry. Retained for up to 12 months.
• Optional editorial updates (Art. 6(1)(a) UK GDPR): Stored only if you tick the separate optional marketing checkbox. Retained until you unsubscribe (removed within 30 days).
• Analytics & ad measurement (Art. 6(1)(a) UK GDPR): Google Consent Mode v2 is set to denied by default. Measurement tags load only after you click “Accept All”.
